When I first visited eBay, I bid on a couple of items, was immediately outbid by the previous bidders’ automatic bid increase, got discouraged, and never came back for a couple of years. I didn’t have a clue how eBay worked, and allowed myself to be discouraged by not knowing what I was doing. If I had just made the slightest effort to figure out how to bid and buy on eBay, I would never have gotten discouraged and gone away. I missed a lot of great merchandise, a lot of bargains, and years’ worth of selling opportunities by allowing myself to be overwhelmed and discouraged. Don’t make the same mistake I did — eBay is actually easy to master, much more so than it was a few years ago, and part of the purpose of this blog is to provide enough information for buyers to feel comfortable with eBay and learn to master the bidding and buying process with ease.

For ease of reading, I’m going to break up this guide into multiple pages and installments, and will provide links to each installment from this page. As you read these installments, if you have any questions or want additional information, please feel free to contact me at info@cookbookauctions.com and I’ll edit or add to the information I’ve posted. eBay is a wonderful resource for buying items, I hate to see people pay more than they have to for items, and I want to help people get the best possible deal on their items, even if it means some of you may end up bidding against me. ;D
